From Trento 2024 to Clare 2027: sharing ideas and experiences across Europe

Representatives from Clare recently travelled to Trento, Italy, as part of an Erasmus+ study visit to learn from the city that held the European Volunteering Capital title in 2024.

The visit included meetings with local organisations and opportunities to see how volunteering and community engagement are supported in practice.

The delegation also visited Migola, a social bakery that brings people together through baking, promotes social inclusion and creates meaningful connections. The group even got involved in a hands-on baking workshop.

The experiences and ideas shared will help inform Clare’s preparations for European Volunteering Capital 2027 as we look forward to celebrating the incredible contribution volunteers make to communities across the county.
