EmployAbility Clare

Employability Clare is incredibly proud to be part of the European Volunteering Capital 2027 Steering Group and excited about the opportunity to showcase the extraordinary spirit of volunteering that exists across County Clare.
Every day, we see the difference that having an opportunity to contribute, participate and belong can make in people’s lives. Employability Clare supports people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to identify their strengths, build confidence and skills, and participate fully in employment and community life. Volunteering can play an important part in that journey – creating connections, opening doors, building experience and, most importantly, giving people the opportunity to share their own talents and abilities.
For us, Clare 2027 is also an opportunity to think bigger about inclusion in volunteering. We want to help create a county where volunteering is genuinely accessible to everyone, including people who may need a little more flexibility or support to participate, and where the contribution of every volunteer is recognised and valued.
We are hugely enthusiastic about working alongside Clare Volunteer Centre and our fellow Steering Group partners, learning from European Volunteering Capitals across Europe and bringing that learning home to Clare. We want 2027 to be a year that celebrates everything already happening in our communities, inspires even more people to get involved and leaves a lasting legacy of inclusion, connection, opportunity and belonging.
We are immensely proud that Clare will be European Volunteering Capital 2027 – and even prouder to play our part in making it a year that everyone can be part of.
