Clare Sports Partnership

Clare Local Sports Partnership (CSP) works to increase participation in sport and physical activity across County Clare. Creating opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to become more active. Paramount to this work is the invaluable contribution of volunteers, who are the heartbeat of sport and physical activity within our communities.

From coaches and club officers to event organisers, committee members and community leaders, volunteers give their time, skills and energy to create welcoming, inclusive and sustainable opportunities for others to participate. CSP supports this volunteer network through training, education, club development grants, leadership opportunities and practical supports, helping volunteers to develop the confidence and skills they need to make a positive difference in their communities.

European Volunteering Capital 2027 provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who give so much to communities across Clare. CSP looks forward to supporting EVC2027 by recognising the contribution of volunteers, promoting new opportunities to get involved, and highlighting the powerful role volunteering plays in building healthier, more active and connected communities.
